Egypt receives major international tourism and aviation awards

Egypt has received multiple international accolades in the tourism and aviation sectors. The French Tour Operators Association (SETO) named Egypt the best tourism destination partnership for 2026, following an annual vote by its members. Egyptian Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Sherif Fathy, received the award in Paris during the IFTM Top Resa exhibition.

In the aviation sector, EgyptAir was recognized by Skytrax at the 2026 World Airline Awards in London. The carrier was named ‘The World’s Most Improved Airline’ and achieved a significant rise in global rankings, moving from 68th place in 2025 to 46th place in 2026. Additionally, EgyptAir earned distinctions for having the best cabin crew in Africa and the best economy class on the continent.
