Egypt signs $168 million in export deals with China
Egypt and China have strengthened bilateral trade relations through the signing of 17 export contracts valued at approximately $168 million. The agreements, facilitated during the ‘Export to China’ event, cover a diverse range of Egyptian products.
Key sectors involved in these deals include agriculture, textiles, leather, and metals. Specific products identified for export include flax, textile yarns, leather, copper, aluminum, sugarcane, and oranges.
The initiative was organized under the joint sponsorship of the Egyptian Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade and the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, in coordination with the Chinese Embassy in Cairo and the Egyptian Exporters Association. The event aimed to connect Egyptian companies directly with Chinese importers to expand market access and diversify Egypt's export base.
