Egypt targets $100 billion in industrial exports by 2030

Minister Khaled Hashem said Egypt aims to raise industrial exports to $100 billion by 2030, a goal that will require massive investment in the sector. The plan relies on the ICOR (capital‑output ratio) model and an 80/20 approach that concentrates resources on high‑return industries while streamlining procedures and providing suitable industrial land.

The ministry is promoting both foreign, regional and local investment, and emphasising the expansion of small‑ and medium‑sized enterprises. A new Industrial Modernisation Centre will link technologies such as the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence to factories, and a supplier‑development programme will encourage large manufacturers to upgrade local SMEs, integrating them into export supply chains.
