Egypt targets $8 billion in outsourcing exports by 2028
Egypt's Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Raafat Hindi, opened the sixth edition of the ‘Tech Invest Egypt’ conference. The event is organized by the General Division of Digital Economy and Technology at the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce, in strategic partnership with the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA).
During his opening remarks, Minister Hindi stated that the ministry aims to reach $8 billion in outsourcing exports by 2028. He emphasized that entrepreneurship is a pivotal path for building an innovation-based digital economy. The minister noted that the state is working to overcome challenges facing startups, particularly regarding funding, growth, market access, and talent acquisition.
The ministry's strategy involves partnering with the business community to develop mechanisms that enable serious companies to expand within Egypt and into regional and international markets.
