Egypt to Disburse July 2026 Public Salaries with New Pay Rise
Egypt's Ministry of Finance announced that the July 2026 payroll for public sector employees will be paid with the newly approved salary increases. The disbursement will begin on Sunday, 20 July 2026, with additional days allocated for the payment of arrears on 8, 9 and 12 July. The salary package adds about 822.8 billion Egyptian pounds to the general budget and is expected to benefit roughly 5.5 million civil servants across ministries, agencies and public bodies.
The raise includes a 1,000‑pound increase to the minimum wage (now 8,000 pounds for grade 6), a 12 % periodic allowance for civil‑service staff, a 15 % special allowance for non‑civil‑service employees, and a fixed additional incentive of 750 pounds per month. Salaries for each grade have been revised, with the top grade moving from 13,200 to 14,900 pounds and the lowest grade rising to 8,100 pounds. ATM networks will be kept open throughout the day to avoid queues.
