Egypt to host third Global Entrepreneurship Festival in Cairo

Egypt is preparing to host the third edition of the Global Entrepreneurship Festival in Cairo, scheduled to take place from November 6 to 8, 2026. Ahmed Rostom, the Minister of Planning and Economic Development, met with various officials to review preparations for the event, emphasizing that hosting the festival reflects Egypt's leading regional position in the Middle East and Africa.

The festival aims to attract over 10,000 participants representing more than 70 countries. The event is expected to include over 100 exhibitors and 60 international speakers, including government leaders and economic experts. The initiative is supported by a ministerial group for entrepreneurship led by Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Hussein Issa, which seeks to provide support for startups to drive national economic growth and attract venture capital.

Ambassador Nabila Makram, Secretary-General of the festival, noted unprecedented interest from African entrepreneurs. The gathering is intended to serve as a regional and international platform to highlight the role of startups in leading development and creating cross-border investment opportunities.
