Egypt transport authorities adjust metro and train schedules for winter time

The Egyptian Ministry of Transport, through the National Authority for Tunnels, has announced updated operating schedules for the metro, monorail, and Light Rail Transit (LRT) to coincide with the implementation of winter time starting late October 2026.

For the metro system, the first trains on Lines 1 and 2 will depart at 5:15 AM from stations including Helwan, El Marg El Gedida, Shubra El Kheima, and El Mounib. The last trains will depart between 11:40 PM and 12:05 AM depending on the specific line and direction. Transfer connections at Anwar El Sadat, Gamal Abdel Nasser, and Attaba stations have been adjusted to accommodate these changes.

The Light Rail Transit (LRT) will see its first departures from Adly Mansour at 6:00 AM. Other initial services include departures from Badr at 6:01 AM and New Obour at 6:38 AM. The final LRT services from Adly Mansour are scheduled for 11:20 PM, with services from Badr and New Obour concluding between 11:30 PM and 11:47 PM.
