Egypt weather forecast predicts autumn conditions and rainfall

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority has issued weather forecasts for mid-October 2026, predicting autumnal conditions across the country. For Saturday, October 17, temperatures are expected to be warm during the day in northern regions, Greater Cairo, and northern Upper Egypt, while southern Upper Egypt will remain hot. Nights and early mornings will be cool.

Rainfall is expected with a 30% chance of light to moderate rain on the northern coasts and northern Delta, which may occasionally become heavy. There is also a lower probability of light rain in parts of southern the Delta, Canal cities, and areas near Halaib and Shalateen. Additionally, water fog is anticipated between 4:00 AM and 8:00 AM on roads leading to northern areas, Greater Cairo, the Canal cities, central Sinai, and northern Upper Egypt.

From Sunday, October 18, through Thursday, October 22, temperatures are expected to remain relatively stable. In Greater Cairo, daytime highs will range between 27 and 29 degrees Celsius, with lows around 18 degrees. The northern coasts will see highs between 24 and 26 degrees, while southern Upper Egypt will remain the warmest region, with highs reaching 33 to 34 degrees Celsius.
