Morocco and Egypt weather: Heat, thunderstorms, and high humidity
Weather patterns in Morocco and Egypt are experiencing significant shifts due to seasonal changes and atmospheric pressure systems.
In Morocco, the General Directorate of Meteorology reports continued relatively hot to hot conditions across several regions, including the Eastern region, Tadla and Rehamna plains, Saiss, and the Southeast. Thunderstorms are expected in the East and the High and Middle Atlas mountains. Additionally, relatively strong winds may cause local dust disturbances, particularly in the Saharan provinces.
In Egypt, meteorologists note that while temperatures have seen a slight decrease from recent peaks, high humidity levels continue to make the perceived temperature feel 2 to 4 degrees Celsius higher than recorded. Wind activity is expected to help moderate the atmosphere, though fog may reduce visibility during early morning hours. A gradual decrease in both temperature and humidity is anticipated toward mid-September.
