Egypt weather forecast predicts heat and morning fog

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority has forecasted hot and humid weather across much of Egypt for Thursday, September 3, 2026. Daytime temperatures are expected to be hot to very hot in northern regions up to Cairo, while southern areas will experience intense heat, with maximum temperatures reaching 40 to 41 degrees Celsius and perceived temperatures as high as 42 degrees Celsius.

Morning fog is expected between 4:00 AM and 8:00 AM on roads leading to and from northern Egypt, Greater Cairo, Canal cities, central Sinai, and northern Upper Egypt. This fog may occasionally be dense, potentially reducing visibility for drivers.

Other weather phenomena include the possibility of low clouds over parts of Greater Cairo, the southern Nile Delta, and Canal cities, which may result in light, non-impactful drizzle. There is also a very low chance (approximately 10%) of light rain on the northern coasts and northern Delta. Winds are expected to reach speeds of 30 to 35 km/h, which may help cool open areas during the evening.
