Middle East weather warnings issued for heavy rain and thunderstorms

Severe weather warnings have been issued across parts of the Middle East as autumn weather patterns bring heavy rain and wind.

In Saudi Arabia, the National Center of Meteorology has warned of moderate to heavy thunderstorms, hail, and strong winds that may trigger flash floods. The most affected areas include Jazan, Asir, Al-Bahah, and Makkah, with extensions into Madinah. Residents are advised to exercise caution due to potential dust storms and reduced visibility.

Syria is also facing significant weather shifts, with heavy thunderstorms, hail, and strong descending winds expected in Damascus countryside, central regions, the coast, and northwest areas. Fog is also anticipated in several regions, potentially impacting visibility.

In Egypt, the Egyptian Meteorological Authority reports typical autumn transitions. While daytime temperatures remain high in Cairo and Upper Egypt, nights are becoming milder. There is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall in northern coastal areas and the Western Desert, alongside morning fog on major roads.
