Egypt weather forecast predicts fog and scattered rain

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority has issued weather forecasts for early October 2026, predicting variable autumnal conditions across the country. Temperatures are expected to range from mild on the northern coasts to hot in Greater Cairo and the Nile Delta, with extremely hot conditions persisting in Upper Egypt.

Key weather phenomena include morning fog between 4:00 AM and 8:00 AM on various roads leading to northern Egypt, Greater Cairo, northern Upper Egypt, the Canal cities, and central Sinai, which may reduce visibility. There is a 30% chance of light to moderate rainfall on the northern coasts and northern Delta, with very low chances of rain in areas like Halaib and Shalateen.

Wind activity is expected to increase across most regions, helping to moderate temperatures at night, though it may stir up sand and dust in southern areas. Additionally, authorities have warned of potential maritime disturbances and rising waves in the Gulf of Suez.
