Egypt and Palestine face intense heat and high humidity
Meteorological authorities in Egypt and Palestine have issued warnings regarding intense summer heat and high humidity levels.
In Egypt, the Egyptian Meteorological Authority reports hot and humid conditions across most regions. Temperatures are expected to be particularly high in southern areas, with some locations reaching up to 42 degrees Celsius. The forecast includes potential morning fog, wind activity that may cause sand and dust in the south, and maritime disturbances in the Red Sea and Gulf of Suez, where waves may reach 2 to 3 meters.
In Palestine, the Meteorological Department predicts dry and extremely hot weather through the coming Wednesday. Temperatures are expected to remain approximately 2 to 5 degrees Celsius above the annual average. Authorities have advised citizens to avoid prolonged direct sunlight during peak hours (11:00 AM to 4:00 PM), refrain from lighting fires in dry grass areas, and never leave children or the elderly in closed vehicles.
