Egypt weather forecast predicts slight temperature drop

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority forecasts a slight decrease in temperatures across most parts of Egypt for Monday, August 31, 2026. The weather is expected to be hot and humid during the day, with extremely hot conditions in southern Upper Egypt, and warm and humid at night.

Several meteorological phenomena are anticipated, including morning fog on roads leading to northern Egypt, Greater Cairo, the Canal cities, central Sinai, and northern Upper Egypt. There is a low probability (approximately 20%) of light intermittent rain in the northern coastal areas, northern Lower Egypt, and parts of northern Sinai.

Wind activity is expected in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the northwestern coast, and southern Sinai, which may provide some relief in open areas during the evening. Maritime conditions indicate rising waves between 1.75 and 2.25 meters on the Mediterranean and Red Sea coasts, particularly affecting beaches in Alexandria and Matrouh.
