Egypt, Morocco, and Lebanon face heatwaves and weather alerts

Multiple regions in the Middle East and North Africa are experiencing significant weather fluctuations, characterized by heatwaves and localized storms.

In Egypt, the General Authority for Meteorology reports hot and humid conditions. Daytime temperatures are expected to reach up to 42 degrees Celsius in southern Upper Egypt, with a perceived temperature of 43 degrees. Morning fog is expected on roads leading to Greater Cairo and the Canal cities, potentially reducing visibility. Some coastal areas may see light rain.

Morocco is under an orange alert due to a heatwave. Temperatures are projected to range between 42 and 46 degrees Celsius in provinces such as Tata and Smara, and between 38 and 42 degrees in other regions. Additionally, thunderstorms, hail, and strong winds are expected in several provinces, including Al Haouz and Errachidia.

In Lebanon, the weather is expected to remain relatively hot with temperatures above seasonal averages. High humidity on the coast may increase the sensation of heat, while local fog is anticipated in mountainous areas.
