Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel‑Att Talks Sudan, Regional Security with UAE and UK

Egypt’s foreign minister, Dr. Badr Abdel‑Att, held a telephone conversation with Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the United Arab Emirates’ deputy prime minister and foreign minister. The leaders discussed recent regional developments, including the United States‑Iran memorandum of understanding, and stressed the need to de‑escalate tensions and rebuild trust among regional actors, especially Gulf states.

In a separate call, Dr. Abdel‑Att spoke with British Foreign Secretary Eve Coppinger. The two ministers exchanged views on the Sudan crisis, reaffirming Egypt’s support for Sudan’s sovereignty and a comprehensive political settlement led by Sudanese parties. Both sides urged a humanitarian cease‑fire and greater international effort to alleviate suffering in Sudan, while emphasizing broader cooperation to enhance regional security and stability.
