Egyptian Governor Enhances Samoul Hospital with New Beds and Dialysis Units

Governor Dr Alaa Abdel‑Maati of Egypt’s Al‑Gharbia region conducted an inspection of Samoul Central Hospital in Mahalla. During the visit he inaugurated an upgrade to the internal ward and emergency department, adding a 24‑bed emergency unit and expanding existing services.

In the same rollout, the governor ordered the immediate provision of eight additional dialysis machines and an oxygen tank, actions carried out within 24 hours of his inspection. The hospital’s capacity has risen markedly, with ICU beds increasing from seven to nineteen, internal ward beds to thirty‑four, and the addition of new neonatal incubators, dialysis stations and other modern medical equipment. The governor emphasized rapid response to community needs and pledged continued support for health facilities across the governorate.
