Egyptian Housing Minister Randa Al‑Manshawi Allocates 1,187 Land Plots in New Urban Projects

Housing Minister Randa Al‑Manshawi announced the public allocation of 1,187 land parcels of varying sizes through four open lotteries, prioritising the regularisation of added‑land holdings to stabilise citizens’ property rights. The minister highlighted ongoing development in the new Upper Egypt cities, a second public lottery for housing in the Sphinx New City, and continued actions on stray‑dog control, building‑violation removal and the rapid‑response system for citizen complaints.

She also reported meetings with Senate members on constituency demands and the drafting of a real‑estate developers’ law aimed at regulating Egypt’s fast‑growing property market. The minister confirmed the closure of tender applications for a partnership housing project under the presidential “Housing for All” programme, noting strong developer interest.

Separately, Dr. Mohamed Khalaf Allah, head of the Al‑Amien New City Authority, inspected the internal road and lake landscaping works in the city’s Old City zone, urging faster labour deployment, equipment use and site cleanliness to meet the project schedule and quality standards.
