Egyptian Housing Minister Randa Al‑Manshawi Inspects Road and Housing Projects in Badr City

On Sunday 5 July 2026, Housing Minister Randa Al‑Manshawi led a field visit to Badr City to monitor the development of major road arteries and the new "Zahra al‑Asima" (Flower of the Capital) housing complex. She oversaw work on the Cairo‑Suez entrance, the 3.6‑km Freedom Road, and the 1.5‑km Ahmed Badawi Road, checking asphalt surfacing, site grading, landscaping, irrigation networks and green‑space upgrades. Accompanied by Deputy Minister Ahmed Imran, officials from the New Urban Communities Authority and the head of the Badr Development Agency, the minister also reviewed the fourth phase of the housing project, which comprises 463 buildings with 11,112 fully finished units on about 268 feddans, and the third phase with 295 buildings and 7,080 units. During the tour she listened to a resident who confirmed that water and electricity services were fully operational, and she urged rapid completion, adherence to quality standards and removal of any obstacles to the project timetable.
