Overview

In early July 2026 Egypt’s Housing Minister Randa Al‑Manshawi inspected major road and housing projects in Badr City, reviewing new arterial roads and the large‑scale "Zahra al‑Asima" residential complex. She checked construction quality, utility services and urged swift completion.

Later that month she toured the Bahiya Breast Cancer Hospital in Sheikh Zayed, highlighting its free screening and treatment programme that has served more than 700,000 women and praising the staff’s creativity in the psychological‑support unit.

On 27 July she returned to Bahiya Hospital, noting the ministry’s provision of land for the centre and outlining plans to replicate the free‑care model in new cities, especially in Upper Egypt, as part of a national vision that links health and dignity to urban development.

On 1 August she inspected a series of new‑city projects across Hadaek October, 6th October, Al‑Obour, Al‑Shorouk and Badr. She reviewed the completion of large‑diameter sewage lines, solid‑waste treatment facilities, the 810‑building "Housing for All Egyptians" initiative, and upgrades to roads, lighting, markets, green spaces and water‑tank capacity, stressing timeline adherence, technical standards and the removal of illegal structures to improve living standards in Egypt’s rapidly expanding urban areas.
