Egyptian officials inspect water and road infrastructure in Fayoum and Port Said

Engineer Walid Saeed, head of the Fayoum Water and Sewage Company, carried out night inspections of the old and new drinking‑water stations in Al‑Azb. He checked the operational readiness of the plants, which produce about 130,000 m³ and 480,000 m³ per day respectively, and verified the condition of pumps, generators and emergency response plans. Saeed stressed the need to keep all ten main stations, supplying over 850,000 m³ daily, fully operational and to respond swiftly to any faults, noting a 24‑hour hotline for citizen complaints.

Governor Ibrahim Ahmed Abu Limon of Port Said toured several streets and residential zones, reviewing upgrades on Al‑Obour Street, planting bougainvillea, and addressing slow progress on Aswan Street. He ordered accelerated work, additional equipment and labor, and inspected the third‑zone redevelopment that includes sewage networks, road improvements, lighting upgrades, façade painting and overall beautification. Both officials highlighted the importance of uninterrupted public services and rapid response to community needs.
