Egypt’s Deputy Prime Minister Hussein Issa urges industrial growth in Gharbia province

Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Dr. Hussein Issa visited Gharbia Governorate, meeting Governor Dr. Alaa Abdel‑Maati to review industrial and investment projects. The delegation inspected factories and discussed policies aimed at increasing production, raising employment and attracting new investors.

A central focus was the development of the Misr Spinning and Weaving Company in Mahalla, described as a national priority that accounts for about 40% of total textile‑sector investment. The upgrade plan targets a substantial boost in capacity, adoption of modern technologies and improved competitiveness in both domestic and export markets. Both officials stressed continued coordination among agencies, removal of obstacles for investors and strengthening the business environment to sustain the region’s industrial growth.
