Egypt's GAHAR secures ISQua accreditation until 2030 with 99% score
The General Authority for Accreditation and Health Care (GAHAR) in Egypt has successfully renewed its international accreditation from the International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua). An expert team conducted a comprehensive evaluation, awarding GAHAR a 99% rating and extending the accreditation period from June 2026 to June 2030. The assessment covered governance, strategic planning, human‑resource and financial management, digital transformation, data security, continuous improvement and risk management, confirming alignment with ISQua’s standards. Dr. Ahmed Taha, chairman of GAHAR, said the renewal reflects sustained international confidence in Egypt’s health‑care quality system and supports the nation’s vision for comprehensive health insurance and the development of a quality‑centric health culture. The accreditation also bolsters Egypt’s position as a regional leader in health‑care quality, enhancing its attractiveness for investment and international partnerships.
