Egypt's health campaign provides 28.5 million free medical services

The Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population has announced that its ‘100 Days of Health’ campaign has provided over 28.5 million free medical services since its launch on August 1, 2026. The initiative aims to expand healthcare access and support the transition toward universal health coverage across various governorates.

On its twentieth day alone, the campaign delivered approximately 2.47 million services through 13 different health sectors. Key contributors included the therapeutic care sector, primary care and family planning, and the General Organization for Health Insurance. The campaign also addressed surgical waiting lists by performing over 3,200 operations in a single day.

In addition to clinical treatments, the initiative includes mental health support, specialized medical centers, and preventative medicine. Community outreach teams have also provided health awareness and education to more than 56,000 citizens in public spaces, clubs, and commercial centers.
