Health outcomes improve in Egypt and Ghana

The ‘100 Days of Health’ campaign, which began on August 1, 2026, has provided over 28.5 million free medical services, including therapeutic care, primary care, and mental health support. The initiative also aims to reduce surgical waiting lists and expand universal health coverage.

Reflecting on the broader impact of presidential health initiatives since 2018, the Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population reported that the ‘100 Million Seha’ programs have delivered over 289 million medical services. These include screenings for Hepatitis C, malnutrition, and hearing loss, as well as 72 million visits related to women’s health. To support these services, the Ministry has invested 403.46 billion Egyptian pounds in health infrastructure between 2014 and 2026, completing 981 projects to expand hospital capacity and equipment.
