Egypt's Housing Minister Randa Al‑Manshawi launches power substation and real‑estate export platform
Engineering Minister Randa Al‑Manshawi announced that the 525 MVA Sadat City substation has been placed on high voltage, completing a 22‑km overhead line with 73 towers and an investment of about 420 million Egyptian pounds. The facility will increase the city's electric capacity by roughly 1 GW, supporting rapid urban and industrial growth.
In a separate meeting with ICT Minister Raafat Hindi, Al‑Manshawi unveiled the first phase of the “Egyptian Real Estate Export Platform,” a digital marketplace designed to showcase certified property projects to foreign investors. The platform integrates AI, cloud services and multilingual interfaces, aiming to streamline sales, improve transparency and attract foreign direct investment, with an initial rollout planned for New Al‑Alamein and other key development zones.
