Egypt's Housing Minister Randa Al‑Manshawi Reviews Progress on New‑City Housing Projects

Housing Minister Randa Al‑Manshawi oversaw the implementation status of numerous residential projects in Egypt’s new urban developments, including Shorouk, the 10th of Ramadan, Gardens of the 10th of Ramadan, October Gardens and Beni Suef New. The portfolio covers the “Sakan Masr” scheme, the presidential “Housing for All Egyptians” initiative, Green Housing, and private‑sector projects such as “Diyarna” and the luxury “Zilal” development.

During field inspections, senior officials – notably Deputy Head of the New Urban Communities Authority Amar Mendour and city‑development heads – examined specific sites: nine under‑construction towers of Sakan Masr in Shorouk, the 60‑building Zilal project on 45 feddans in Gneifat, Phase 6 of the Housing‑for‑All program in the 10th of Ramadan (2 400 buildings delivering 5 650 units) and Phase 7 (51 buildings, 1 224 units). Additional reviews included the “810‑building” complex, the Valera Gardens project and ongoing works in Phases 5 and 6 of the Housing‑for‑All programme. The minister stressed the need for continuous coordination between city authorities and contractors, strict adherence to technical specifications, and accelerated timelines to ensure timely delivery of completed units to beneficiaries.
