Egypt's Innovators and Geniuses Care Fund announces new innovation plan

The Innovators and Geniuses Care Fund has announced an integrated future plan to support innovation, youth qualification, and entrepreneurship. The initiative aims to discover innovative ideas and support students and graduates in transforming them into competitive startups by strengthening integration between universities, research centers, and industrial sectors.

The plan seeks to prepare graduates who possess the skills to create new opportunities rather than just seeking employment. This includes developing solutions for industrial and societal challenges and establishing knowledge-based technology companies. To achieve this, the fund will enhance cooperation between employment centers, technology transfer units, business incubators, and innovation clubs.

Key components of the strategy include the ‘We Are Listening’ initiative to discover ideas, university hackathons to address national and industrial challenges, and a goal to support ‘one thousand innovative graduation projects.’ Additionally, the plan includes developing the ‘Be Ready’ initiative to prepare students for the evolving labor market and the ‘Early Co-Founders Program’ to connect final-year students and recent graduates with emerging projects.
