Egypt's Ministry of Endowments opens 18 mosques across 11 governorates

The Egyptian Ministry of Endowments has announced the opening of 18 mosques across 11 governorates as part of its ongoing plan to renovate and develop religious sites. This latest phase includes the construction of one new mosque, the renovation of 16 existing mosques, and the maintenance of one. Since July 2026, the ministry has opened a total of 199 mosques.

Additionally, the Ministry has released the text for the upcoming Friday sermon, titled ‘Creativity and Innovation in the Prophetic Era’. The sermon aims to educate worshippers on the importance of innovation and the Prophet Muhammad’s approach to nurturing talent and investing in human capabilities. The second part of the sermon focuses on the start of the new academic year, emphasizing the importance of education and the responsibility of parents in discovering their children's abilities.
