Egypt's Ministry of Social Solidarity intervenes in Cairo assault case

The Egyptian Ministry of Social Solidarity has deployed its rapid intervention team to assist a mother who was reportedly assaulted by her two sons in the Sayyida Zeinab area of Cairo. The action follows a video of the incident circulating on social media.

Upon arriving at the woman's apartment, the intervention team found the residence empty. Neighbors reported that security forces had already apprehended the two young men, while other neighbors had secured the apartment.

The Ministry, led by Minister Maya Morsy, stated it is prepared to provide full social, psychological, and protective support to the victim. The ministry emphasized its commitment to protecting vulnerable groups and urged citizens to report any individuals at risk through official hotlines and digital channels.
