Egypt's Social Solidarity Minister reviews bank performance and Hajj lottery

Egypt's Minister of Social Solidarity, Dr. Maya Morsy, has presided over key administrative meetings regarding banking performance and Hajj preparations.

During a board meeting for Nasser Social Bank, officials reviewed the annual performance indicators for the 2025/2026 fiscal year. Discussions focused on enhancing banking efficiency, developing customer services, and managing liquidity levels as of June 30, 2026, to ensure the bank meets its financial obligations and social impact goals.

In a separate capacity, Dr. Morsy announced that the electronic lottery for the 2027 Hajj season for civil society organizations will take place on Tuesday, September 15. The lottery aims to select 12,000 pilgrims from a pool of 66,000 applicants. The process will be conducted centrally via the unified Hajj portal to ensure transparency across all governorates.
