Egypt's Supply Ministry Launches Appeal Process for Excluded Ration Cards
Egypt's Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade announced new procedures allowing citizens whose food‑ration cards have been suspended or who have been excluded from the support system to submit formal appeals. Applicants must first update their data on the Egypt Digital platform, then visit the nearest supply office and present a completed appeal form together with required documents such as a copy of the ration card, national ID, recent utility bills and, where relevant, proof of income, vehicle ownership or land holdings. The ministry said each case will be examined within ten to fourteen days, after which the citizen will be notified of the decision. The same guidelines apply to those who believe they were wrongly excluded from the subsidy programme, ensuring a transparent re‑evaluation of eligibility.
Both articles stress that the suspension of a card is temporary and that the support will be reinstated once the cited violations are corrected. The Ministry affirmed that all appeals will be processed impartially to guarantee that subsidies reach the intended beneficiaries.
