EIGER Nature recognized for environmental conservation efforts

EIGER Nature has received recognition from WALHI Jawa Barat and WWF-Indonesia for its commitment to nature-based area development. The environmental organizations highlighted the initiative's focus on conservation, land restoration, environmental education, and community empowerment as the company prepares to open the area to the public.

During a guided site tour involving 22 representatives from WWF-Indonesia and the WWF Global network, participants reviewed restoration efforts on critical lands within the PT Perkebunan Nusantara (PTPN) I Regional 2 area and conservation activities in the utilization zone of Gunung Gede Pangrango National Park (TNGGP).

Aditya Bayunanda, CEO of WWF-Indonesia, noted that the initiative demonstrates how the private sector can balance business operations with environmental stewardship and community benefits. He emphasized that collaboration between the private sector, government, local communities, and conservation organizations could support regional sustainability and create new conservation financing opportunities. Additionally, WALHI Jawa Barat praised the management's openness to feedback regarding environmental documentation and licensing.
