EISI showcases inclusive sports at ExpoAid in Rimini
The Italian Inclusive Sports Entity (EISI) attended the ExpoAid fair in Rimini on 25–26 June, presenting a stand that displayed adaptive versions of boccia, inclusive foosball, baskin and universal football. Visitor Minister Abodi tried the adapted foosball table, while Minister Locatelli listened to the redesign of EISI sports. President Sira Miola projected a video linking the initiative to the UN Convention on the rights of persons with disabilities and article 31 of the Italian Constitution. A panel discussion featured SSR President Mimmo Arena, and EISI staff—including Goffredo Iachetti, Gianluca Bacchi, Andrea Santececca, Camilla Cigoli and Laura Carini—participated.
A delegation from Caltanissetta reported a similarly intensive three‑day experience, meeting experts such as Prof. Serafino Corti, Dr. Maria Luisa Scattoni and Dr. Valeria Pascale. They discussed the life‑project reform under law 62/2024 and highlighted the inclusion of seven local young people in employment at the artisanal pasta firm L’Arte dei Primi. Both groups emphasized that social inclusion for people with disabilities depends on service quality, cultural attitudes and concrete opportunities.
