Eğitim-Bir-Sen holds delegate elections across Turkey

The labor union Eğitim-Bir-Sen has conducted several stages of its 8th Ordinary General Assembly through delegate elections across various Turkish provinces.

In Adana, the union utilized the ‘EBS Digital Platform’ for the first time to facilitate the voting process. Branch President Mustafa Sarıgeçili noted that the digital infrastructure allowed members to quickly identify their polling stations and ballot numbers via smartphone, enhancing transparency and organizational speed. The elections in Adana were completed on September 26.

In Nevşehir, Branch President Harun Öcal reported that the delegate elections were completed with high participation and a focus on democratic maturity. Similarly, in Sivas, the election process for the 2nd Branch involved multiple candidates, with vote counting continuing to determine the final results among various university-based ballot boxes.

The newly elected delegates will participate in the 8th Ordinary General Assembly to determine the union's future leadership and direction.
