Eivør releases new single ahead of upcoming album Tungl

Faroese artist Eivør has released a new single titled ‘Verjugarðar / Walls’, an electronic rock ballad serving as a precursor to her upcoming studio album, Tungl. The album is scheduled for release on October 16, 2026.

Eivør describes the track as an exploration of the silence that can build walls between people. The upcoming ten-track album, named after the Faroese word for ‘moon’, is intended to explore themes of navigation, self-belief, and rejuvenation through elemental soundscapes. Each track on the album will feature both Faroese and English titles.

To celebrate the release, Eivør will perform three special concerts in October. The first two are set for the Nordic House in Tórshavn, Faroe Islands, followed by a performance at Harpa’s Eldborg Hall in Reykjavík, Iceland. Additionally, the artist is planning an extensive headline tour across North America later this year, with European and UK dates continuing into 2027.
