Senace projects US$ 20 billion in sustainable investment certifications for Peru

Senace, Peru's National Service of Environmental Certification for Sustainable Investments, projects certifying US$ 20 billion in sustainable investments by the end of the year. These funds are intended for strategic projects across sectors including mining, infrastructure, agriculture, and transport.

Between January and the first week of September, the agency has already approved 138 files totaling more than US$ 14 billion. Notable approvals include the Environmental Impact Study for the 'Nueva Carretera Central, Tramificación I' project, which aims to connect Lima with the center of the country.

Minister of the Environment Vladimiro Huaroc emphasized the need to increase the flow of sustainable investments while protecting the ecosystem. Senace officials noted that the agency utilizes artificial intelligence and advanced technological tools to conduct technical and transparent environmental evaluations while promoting citizen participation.
