Eker Süzme Sailing Team wins inaugural Cape 31 Gold Cup

The Eker Süzme Sailing Team has been crowned the first-ever champion of the Cape 31 Gold Cup held in Saint-Tropez, France. Competing against a fleet of 28 boats from 12 different countries, the Turkish team secured the title with a total of 41 points.

Despite facing challenging and variable wind conditions in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez during the final races, the team maintained a 17-point lead over their closest competitor, Django, which finished second with 58 points. The German team Hatari secured third place with 63 points.

Ahmet Eker, owner of the Eker Süzme team, attributed the victory to two years of consistent teamwork and crew cohesion. The championship featured highly competitive racing, with each of the ten races being won by a different team.
