Ekiti Governor Oyebanji outlines economic goals for second term

Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji has announced that his administration’s second term, beginning October 16, 2026, will focus on projects designed to boost commerce, enhance productivity, and stimulate sustainable business growth. During a town hall meeting with stakeholders from the Ekiti North Senatorial District in Ifaki-Ekiti, the Governor outlined plans to channel strategic investments into healthcare, electricity, road infrastructure, and water supply to improve living standards.

Oyebanji emphasized a commitment to value addition and inclusive governance, stating that limited resources must be used to catalyze productivity so that local artisans and workers can thrive. Additionally, the Governor pledged that Ekiti State would actively support the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election through intensified mobilization efforts. Traditional rulers, community leaders, and youth representatives present at the meeting expressed their support for the Governor’s shared prosperity agenda.
