Ekiti State prepares for Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s second-term inauguration
Preparations have begun for the second-term inauguration of Governor Biodun Oyebanji in Ekiti State. The inauguration committee, led by Chairman and Chief of Staff Oyeniyi Adebayo, announced that the program will commence with a thanksgiving service at the Central Mosque in Ado Ekiti on October 2, followed by the official inauguration ceremony on October 16.
Adebayo highlighted several key achievements from the administration since October 2022, including the completion of the Ekiti Agro-Allied International Cargo Airport, which began commercial operations in late 2025. Infrastructure milestones also include the commissioning of over 500 kilometers of inter-city and rural roads and the extension of electricity to the Ikogosi tourism belt and parts of Aiyekire and Ekiti East Local Government Areas.
In the sectors of healthcare and education, the committee reported that as of 2026, the administration has renovated more than 110 primary healthcare centers and all general hospitals within the state, equipping them with modern facilities.
