EKPA E-Learning celebrates 25 years of lifelong learning
The E-Learning program of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (EKPA) is marking 25 years as a leader in lifelong learning. The program addresses the global ‘skills revolution’ driven by technological advancements, automation, and Artificial Intelligence, which are reshaping professional roles and requirements.
According to Professor Emeritus Panagiotis Petrakis, the scientific director of the program, investing in future skills is an urgent necessity for educational organizations to close labor market gaps and enhance employability. Over its 25-year history, the program has trained more than 200,000 individuals, offering over 700 distance learning courses across more than 60 different fields of study. The program focuses on practical skills that allow learners to immediately apply knowledge to their professional environments.
