EKPA E-Learning marks 25 years of lifelong learning
The National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (EKPA) E-Learning program is marking 25 years of operation in the field of lifelong learning. The program aims to address the global skills revolution driven by technological advancements, automation, and artificial intelligence, which are reshaping professional roles and requirements.
According to Professor Emeritus Panagiotis Petrakis, the scientific director of the program, investing in future skills is essential for educational organizations to close labor market gaps, enhance employability, and promote inclusion. Over its 25-year history, the program has trained more than 200,000 individuals, offering over 700 distance learning courses across more than 60 different fields of study.
