Mexico prepares for El Buen Fin 2026 commercial season

Mexico is preparing for the 2026 edition of El Buen Fin, scheduled to take place from November 13 to 17. Various regional and national authorities are implementing measures to support the commercial event and protect consumers.

In Baja California Sur, officials expect an economic impact exceeding 840 million pesos, with a projected sales growth of 5 to 8 percent. In Veracruz, a security operation involving approximately 600 personnel from the Naval Police, Public Security, Municipal Police, and National Guard will be deployed to protect shoppers and businesses in the Veracruz-Boca del Río area.

To prevent fraud, Profeco has recommended that consumers use the Buró Comercial platform to verify the commercial history and complaint records of providers. Additionally, the San Luis Potosí Congress has approved an agreement to urge local governments to provide official information regarding participating businesses to prevent deceptive promotions.

In Ciudad Valles, Canaco Servytur is encouraging local merchants to register for the event, which is expected to boost sales in sectors such as home goods and appliances.
