El Marqués police receive mental health and communication training
The Municipal Public Security Secretariat (SSPM) of El Marqués has implemented specialized training for its police force focusing on mental health and assertive communication. The workshops, conducted by specialists from the Municipal Institute for the Prevention and Attention of Risk Behaviors (Centro Vive El Marqués), aim to provide officers with tools for emotional management, effective idea expression, and constructive conflict resolution.
This initiative is part of a continuous professionalization process led by the Institute of the Professional Police Career Service and aligns with the 2024-2026 Municipal Security Program. The training is intended to improve internal workplace relationships based on respect and dialogue, while also enhancing how officers interact with citizens during their daily duties. By fostering emotional intelligence, the municipality seeks to ensure personnel are better equipped to handle the various pressures and situations encountered in the line of duty.
