El Puerto de Huelva announces social and urban development projects

The city of El Puerto de Huelva is launching several initiatives aimed at social support and urban improvement. Through the ‘Puerto Ciudad 2026’ call, the Port of Huelva has granted funding to the CDP Ciudad de los Niños for the ‘Tejiendo Redes de Apoyo’ project. This initiative seeks to strengthen coordination between local entities to better support minors and families in vulnerable situations, aiming to reduce inequality and improve access to social and educational resources.

Additionally, the City Council has announced three urban improvement projects in the neighborhoods of Poblado de Doña Blanca, El Tejar, and La Angelita Alta. These works, which include optimizing streets and expanding parking spaces, will be financed through the 2026-2027 Agrarian Employment Promotion Program (PFEA). The projects are expected to provide employment opportunities for approximately 150 people, utilizing both income guarantee and stable employment models to support local workers.
