El Rodeo wins top prize at World Alfajor Championship

The 2026 World Alfajor Championship, held from August 15 to 17 at the BA Ferial in Buenos Aires, concluded with several major awards for Argentine producers.

El Rodeo, an enterprise from Catamarca, was named the winner of the championship's top prize with its fig, coconut, and walnut creation. The brand also secured first place in the Fruit category. Additionally, the brand Gulero received the Alfajor PYME award. Catamarca Governor Raúl Jalil congratulated the company and its owner, Luis Saladoy, on the achievement.

Mendoza-based brand Entre Dos also earned significant recognition, winning four awards: first place for Best White Chocolate Coating and Best Alfajor Cookie, second place for Best Alfajor Aroma, and third place for Best Glazed Alfajor. The competition featured over 130 exhibitors from countries including Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay, with a specialized jury evaluating more than 700 samples.
