Elayna Black discusses personal hardships and career shift after WWE release

Professional wrestler Elayna Black, formerly known as Cora Jade, has detailed the significant personal and professional challenges she faced leading up to her release from WWE. In a documentary produced by TNA Wrestling, Black recounted a series of life-altering events, including undergoing emergency surgery for a life-threatening ectopic pregnancy, suffering a severe knee injury involving a torn ACL, MCL, and both meniscuses, and dealing with a breakup and the death of a pet.

Black explained that these setbacks, combined with the loss of her wrestling career, led to severe depression. Following her departure from WWE, she prioritized her mental health over financial gain, stating she was not interested in bidding wars but rather in finding a professional environment that would not exacerbate her emotional struggles. She noted that TNA Wrestling’s creative freedom and supportive backstage atmosphere were key factors in her decision to return to the ring.

Additionally, Black addressed her decision to create content on OnlyFans, describing it as a strategic move to regain financial control and leverage her personal brand after losing the career she had pursued since childhood.
