Elazığ municipality ramps up insect control while Battalgazi district renews roads

Elazığ Municipality continues round‑the‑clock insecticide spraying to curb black flies, mosquitoes, and other pests as heavy rains expand breeding areas. The program targets wetlands, green zones, water pools and foliage, with treatments applied every three days and during night hours to improve public health and comfort for residents during the summer.

In the nearby Battalgazi district, municipal crews are accelerating asphalt renewal projects across several neighbourhoods. Work includes surface spraying in Hatunsuyu, removal of old pavement by milling in Selçuklu, and subsequent sub‑base preparation and gravel laying, with hot‑asphalt paving planned after preparatory tasks are completed.
