Turkish municipalities launch widespread infrastructure and transport projects

Municipalities across various Turkish regions are conducting extensive infrastructure and transportation projects. In Kocaeli, the Umuttepe Mosque and Parking Project has reached 90% physical completion, while the Körfezray Metro Project has completed approximately 15.83% of its tunnel excavations. Additionally, Kocaeli is implementing a new integrated public transport model on its southern axis via the 41G line and using animated characters to promote transit etiquette on trams.

In Karatay, strategic road networks connecting rural and central neighborhoods have been opened to traffic following asphalt works. In Akçaabat and Trabzon, road maintenance and dry concrete paving are ongoing to improve safety and comfort across multiple districts. Bafra Municipality is targeting the renewal of 25 kilometers of roads, utilizing in-house asphalt production to reduce costs.

Other regional updates include the completion of asphalt works on Gökçebel Street in Akçaabat and a 9-kilometer asphalt project in Alanya’s Mahmutlar district. In Kayseri, construction continues on the Kartal Multi-level Interchange under the Climate and Disaster Resilient Cities Project. Meanwhile, Kahramanmaraş is managing several road closures due to ongoing infrastructure improvements in the Onikişubat and Dulkadiroğlu districts.
