Electric Bus Charging Infrastructure Completed in Sydney and Liverpool

Asset Building Systems partnered with Keolis Downer Northern Beaches to design, fabricate and install a modular, galvanised steel bus electrification gantry at the live depot in Brookvale, Sydney. The structure provides elevated access, storm‑water integration and safety features while supporting the depot’s fleet of over 220 buses, completing on schedule with minimal disruption.

In Liverpool, England, a multimillion‑pound project upgraded the Gillmoss depot for Stagecoach’s new fleet of 108 battery‑electric buses. New high‑capacity charging bays and upgraded grid connections allow a double‑deck bus to be fully charged in 90 minutes. Funding came from the City Region Sustainable Transport Settlement and the UK Department for Transport’s ZEBRA 2 fund, marking a major step toward a zero‑emission public‑transport network in the region.
